Network Rail engineers spend a lot of time trying to find damaged train tracks. They do this by visiting areas of the track in person and reports from train drivers on bumpy rides. I worked on a web application aimed at streamlining the process for rail repair. This app used AI to scan through train journey footage and show data to support potential issues. This involved critical thinking about how computer vision could be used to produce data.
